このたび18, Murataは、TOGA AOYAMAの展示スペースTRIANGLEにて、斉藤思帆と森岡美樹による二人展《Pictura super Pavimentum》を開催いたします。
《Pictura super Pavimentum》は、古代ラテン語で「床の上の絵画」という言葉を元に、視覚芸術と身体感覚、生活と制度、そして記憶と空間の交錯を探る試みです。
斉藤は、和紙やアクリル、シルクスクリーンを用いた絵画を、棚や壁紙、机など日常的なモチーフに配置し、私的な空間に作品が置かれることで生まれる偶然性を可視化します。一方で森岡は、宗教施設や教育機関における身体感覚や記憶に着目し、床という環境の基盤に根ざしたインスタレーションを展開します。
本展では、絵画と床、視線と足元、展示と日常が、TOGAという衣服を見せる場で展開することで、作品と空間の関係性に問いかけを残します。絵画は壁にかけられるだけでなく、鑑賞者の動きとともに見出され、床から私たちに眼差しを向けるでしょう。

18, Murata is pleased to present Pictura super Pavimentum, a duo exhibition by Shiho Saito and Miki Morioka, held at TRIANGLE, the exhibition space inside TOGA AOYAMA.
"Pictura super Pavimentum," a two-person exhibition by Shiho Saito and Miki Morioka, takes its title from the Latin phrase meaning “painting on the floor.” The exhibition explores the intersection of visual art and bodily perception, daily life and institutional systems, memory and spatial experience.
Saito presents paintings made with Japanese Washi paper, acrylic, and silkscreen, displayed alongside everyday domestic elements such as shelves, wallpaper, and desks. Through these arrangements, she visualizes the unexpected encounters that arise when artworks are placed in intimate, lived-in spaces. Morioka, on the other hand, focuses on the physical and mnemonic experiences shaped by religious and educational institutions, creating installations rooted in the foundation of the environment—the floor.
In this exhibition, paintings and floors, gazes and footsteps, the act of display and the rhythm of everyday life come into play within TOGA, a space designed to present clothing. The show invites viewers to reconsider the relationship between artworks and the spaces they inhabit. Here, paintings are not only hung on walls; they emerge through the viewer’s movement, quietly returning our gaze from the ground beneath our feet.

斉藤思帆
1988年東京都出身。武蔵野美術大学版画専攻、同大学院修了。
主に和紙などの素材にアクリルやシルクスクリーンなどを用いて、版画制作の手法を取り入れた絵画制作を行う。
これまでの主な個展に「Pic of Pain」（18, Murata、東京、2024年）「TEMPORAL POSSESSTIONS Ⅱ」（東葛西1-11-6, A倉庫、東京、2023年)、「か な た」（一乗法華寺、東京、2022年）、「私は瞬きもせずそれを見つめていた」（MANHOOD gallery space、東京、2016年）など。グループ展に「複製される感性」（入江泰吉記念 奈良市写真美術館、奈良、2024年）、「Maps」（Cité Internationale des Arts、パリ、フランス、2022年）、「感性の遊び場」（ANB Tokyo、東京、2022年）、「一方そのころ／meanwhile」（谷本真理との二人展、KAYOKOYUKI、東京、2019年）、「End of Summer Open Studio」（Yale Union、アメリカ、ポートランド、2019年）など。アートユニットThe Goodwillerとして田岡美紗子と古着や古物を用いたプロジェクトも進行中。

森岡美樹
1989年東京都出身。東京藝術大学先端芸術表現科卒業、同大学大学院修了。
コミュニケーションが生じる空間、人、モノの関係性について制作している。

TOGA TRIANGLE
TOGA AOYAMAに設けられた三角形の小さな展示スペース「TOGA TRIANGLE」。国内外のギャラリーや本屋、オルタナティブ・スペース、コレクティブなど、多角的に広がるローカル・コミュニティと連携しながらエキシビションを企画・発信するプロジェクトです。

Shiho Saito
Born in Tokyo in 1988. Saito completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies in Printmaking at Musashino Art University. Her practice centers on paintings made by applying printmaking techniques such as acrylic and silkscreen onto washi (traditional Japanese paper).
Selected solo exhibitions include Pic of Pain (18, Murata, Tokyo, 2024), TEMPORAL POSSESSIONS Ⅱ (Higashikasai 1-11-6, A SO-KO / Tokyo, Japan), kanata (Ichijo-Hokkeji temple / Tokyo, Japan), and I was staring at it without blinking (MANHOOD gallery / Tokyo, Japan). Group exhibitions include Sensibility in Reproduction (Iriezaki Memorial Nara City Museum of Photography, Nara, 2024), Maps (Cité Internationale des Arts / Paris, France), Playground for the Senses (ANB Tokyo / Tokyo, Japan), meanwhile (KAYOKOYUKI / Tokyo, Japan), and End Of Summer (Portland, Oregon, US).
Saito is also involved in an ongoing collaborative project as part of the art unit The Goodwiller, working with Misako Taoka to create works using second-hand clothing and found objects.

Miki Morioka
Born in Tokyo in 1989. Graduated from the Department of Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts, where she also completed her graduate studies. Morioka’s practice explores the relationship between space, people, and objects, particularly in contexts where communication emerges. Selected exhibitions include After They Left (Long Story Short NYC, curated by Kyoko Hamaguchi, USA, 2023), POP-UP “ARTIST RUNNING” #6 (void+eaves, curated by Hikotaro Kanehira, Tokyo, 2022), Before It Became a Voice (two-person exhibition with Chihiro Gombe, Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo, Tokyo, 2020), The Flag of Sulking Sleep (Toride Geidai Cafeteria Showcase, Ibaraki, 2017), Rich Farts in a Holy Temple (curated by Taro Izumi, Toshima Museum, Tokyo, 2016), CAMP August Exhibition and CAMP July Exhibition (CAMP Studio Aufheben, Tokyo, 2015), Pre-Opening Party (organized by Naomi Oguchi, blanclass, Kanagawa, 2015), and Delta: The Tactility of Possibility (BankART Studio NYK, Kanagawa, 2013).

TOGA TRIANGLE is a small, triangular exhibition space located within TOGA AOYAMA. It is a project that welcomes and presents exhibitions in collaboration with a diverse range of local and international communities, including galleries, bookstores, alternative spaces, and collectives.
